Fall 22 trends from the runways
At this point in the season, my mind already changed gears. I am aiming for the crisp days of Fall.
If you know me personally, you know that I think a lot before pressing the buy button. More and more I have the desire to have a small closet with pieces that move from one season to another just adding layers and changing accessories.
We are lucky that the upcoming season has many trends that are very wearable and, as in my case, may already exist in your wardrobe.
Prior to telling you what I like, I would tell you what is definitely a “NO” for me.
1) White tanks - For me, the tank top is synonymous with Summer. Taking in consideration that I am most of the time colder and white not belonging to my palette, I will pass.
2) The LBD - Because I am loyal to my palette, for me the LBD is ‘Little Blue Dress’

Shoppable Board - My version of LBD
3) Floor Sweeping dresses and skirts - Just because of safety. At 61, I cannot afford to step in my own dress, fall and break anything else. A broken rib was enough.
These trends however caught my attention and I believe that many of you will be happy to know these pieces are already in your closet!
1) Tailoring is back - You only need one beautiful, tailored blazer. If you have a color palette, invest in one of your dark neutrals.
2) Monochromatic color harmony – Choose a color and create variations using the same color. As in, if you have a dark green pantsuit, pair with a silk sage green silk blouse.
3) A pop of color -This is an easy trend to incorporate. Use your accessories, shoes, bags or even tights to bring life to your Neutrals.
4) A bomber jacket or a moto jacket – As a client said and I quote “it gives the feeling of a bad a... girl”. You can wear them with jeans or, one of my favorites, mix them with a flowy garment and create the feminine look without being sweet.
5) Leather– leather jackets, long coats, pantsuits. I will not dress myself from head to toe in leather but a skirt of leather with a tailored jacket and plain shirt can go a long way this coming season.

6) Column of color – This is one of the camouflage techniques and an easy way to dress. Top and bottom matches and then you add a coat in a contrasting color.
7) Elongated silhouette - Imagine the silhouette of the 90s. Long straight skirt with elongated jacket or oversized sweater creating a rectangle silhouette.
8) Fuller legs pants – it is not for everyone, but I just love the look.
Other trends that are there: sparkle and bling, transparency, knee high boots, strong shoulders jackets (80s), leopard print, point toe pumps, a tux, attention to the waist, faux fur, and volume.
